Come and hear from Dripping Springs city staff about plans for roads, new residential developments, commercial enterprises and more. Amanda Padilla, City Planner II, will present on recent approvals and what’s anticipated for the future.

Prior to working in Dripping Springs she was a City Planner in Medford Oregon and helped with current and long range planning. While in Medford she initiated a Mural and Art Committee that involved art and place making within the community. Amanda has been with the city for a year and a half and enjoys spending time with her family and pets.

The purpose of our get together is to discuss what the Historic Preservation Group might be and might do. Here are some of the thoughts we had: coordinate a tour of the Pound House, inviting any of the club interested to come; similarly, coordinate a walking tour of Mercer Street with one of the original Dripping Springs residents (such as Charlie Haydon) describing what the buildings were originally and invite others in the club to come; meet with the City staff to see what the plans are for preserving Mercer Street and ask if there is something we could do to help.
Our Purpose is to facilitate interaction, information and community involvement through programs and events of interest and enjoyment.
